Arist Slack Learner Experience

Welcome! You'll be taking your training from Arist directly in Slack. Here's everything you need to know about your learning experience.

How It Works

When you're enrolled in a course or training, you'll receive your content in a dedicated Slack channel. This channel is private—just you and the Arist bot—so you can learn at your own pace without distractions.

Your Learning Channel

Each course you take will have its own unique Slack channel. The channel name will include the course title plus a few unique characters. For example, a "Conflict Resolution" course might appear as conflict-resolution-leading-productive-meetings-e33411e. In some cases, you'll receive courses from a similar category in a channel that is labeled for that category (ex. manager-onboarding-e33411e)

Engaging with Content

Learning with Arist is interactive and conversational:

  • Respond directly in the channel to questions and prompts from the Arist bot

  • Use threads to keep your responses organized—you can reply in the main channel or within threads

  • Take your time and respond whenever works best for you

The Arist app may also send you nudges to remind you to continue your training, helping you stay on track.

Completing Your Course

When you finish a course, you'll receive a completion message with an option to archive the channel. If you don't archive it right away, you'll get a reminder 30 days later.

Important: You cannot leave or archive a channel while you have an active enrollment. If you need to stop a course before completing it, reply "STOP" to cancel the enrollment. Then you'll be able to archive the channel.

Archived channels aren't deleted—you can always find them later in your Slack workspace if you want to review the content.

Self-Enrollment

Want to enroll in additional courses on your own? Simply message the Arist app directly with the 4-digit code for the course or survey you'd like to take.
