The following steps should be performed by a Teams administrator. Note that this step does not pre-install the Arist app for end users. That will be done in a later section of the Arist Teams Step by Step Guide.
The objective is to set both Arist and Arist Comms as "Available to" == "everyone". The exact flow in your Teams admin center can vary depending on things like ACM and new UI changes to the admin center by Microsoft.
Method 1: Using legacy ACM
Navigate to Application Permission Policies
Set up migration
Select the appropriate Permission Policy
Under Manage Apps, find Arist, and choose Edit Availability
Ensure it is set to "Available to everyone"
Repeat steps 4-5 for Arist Comms
Method 2: Using Manage Apps
Some tenants can also manage availability from Manage apps:
For Arist (main app):
Navigate to Manage Apps
Find the Arist application
Go to the Users and Groups tab
Edit availability, and set to Everyone
For Arist Comms:
Navigate to Manage Apps
Find the Arist Comms application
Go to the Users and Groups tab
Edit availability, and set to Everyone
Both the Arist main app and Arist Comms app need to be enabled for the complete Arist Teams experience. The Comms app sends messages via Chat instead of the Teams Notification app, significantly improving engagement.
